Becherovka is a legendary drink that originated in the Czech Republic. He is over 200 years old. And all these years, its popularity has not decreased all over the planet. This is a unique liqueur based on natural ingredients: herbal tinctures. It is quite strong – 38%. The recipe is kept in the strictest confidence, which is revealed only to new generations of the Becher family, who created this drink at the beginning of the 19th century.
The taste of the liqueur is very rich, deep, it clearly sounds a very radical chord of three opposite sensations – sweet-bitter-tart. Tasting Becherovka in its pure form, you can clearly hear the content of anise, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, allspice and orange peel in it. The basis is exclusively the mineral water of Karlovy Vary. It is she who is credited with a miraculous effect on the taste of the resulting drink.
Herbal bouquet of liquor raises it to the rank of medicinal potions. When used correctly (in very small quantities), Becherevka can cure a number of very different diseases. For example, as an aperitif (before meals, 1 small glass) is an excellent stimulator of the process of secretion of gastric juice, bile, respectively, digestion. As an even drink (1 glass after a meal), it relieves stomach cramps, relaxes the muscular system of the gastrointestinal tract.
Becherovka is an excellent component in various cocktails: B-Ocean, Bejito, B-Cola, Oasis, Becherovka Punch, Very nice, and others. In Slovakia, they prefer to drink this liquor with light beer, because its herbal bouquet, in harmony with hops and malt, gives an incredible deep taste with a long pleasant aftertaste.
