Rotwild is a strong herbal liqueur whose name translates in German as “noble deer”.
It is a unique and self-sufficient drink, belongs to the category of tinctures, has a complex, spicy taste and an alcohol content of 35%.
The composition of Rothwild includes – water, alcohol, ginger, cinnamon, black pepper, cardamom, coriander, caramel, sugar, cloves, etc. In total, the composition of the tincture includes 25 components.
In the production of tincture, environmentally friendly raw materials are used, which are carefully sorted, dried and crushed. Then the components separately go through a period of double infusion. The resulting infusions are filtered and combined in proportions known only to the manufacturer, and some of them are used for the production of aromatic alcohols through several distillations to separate the best average fraction, which later fall into the bulk of the components. After the tincture has “rested” and acquired its unique taste and color, it is filtered, after which sugar and caramel are added to it. The full production cycle is 19 days. After the end of the technological process, the finished product is bottled from almost opaque dark glass that does not transmit light. Served on its own, as a digestif or in cocktails and hot drinks.
In 2018, at the tasting competition, which was held as part of the international “Wine&Spirits” exhibition, Rotwild tincture received a platinum medal in the “Strong Alcohol” category and became the “Opening of the Exhibition”.
